Excellent explanation of the capitalism of slavery. Awesome delivery of that story.
Amazing show! Enjoyed the hell out of the rich storytelling and humor.
I feel I might have enjoyed this more had I come into it with greater knowledge of the American Civil War; I suspect I missed a lot of references. Still, it was very interesting and had a really cool set and staging.
Was not for me. I found it pretty boring.
Good show but a little hard to understand at times – the widow’s voice is too high pitched to hear easily especially over the music or when the character is ‘wailing’ or has her back turned to the audience. Over all though, we enjoyed it.
Great performance…some editing may be in order.
I saw this in Minneapolis, and absolutely loved it! Highly recommended. Intelligent, funny, disturbing!
