Not Quite Sherlock

British comedian Chris Gibbs returns with a one-man play about Victorian London’s most overlooked detective.

  1. Very entertaining! Gibbs blazes through an hour long monologue about a gullible unextraordinary young man and a “detective” and carries it off with wit and charm. The word-heavy script may not be for everyone, but I found it brilliant. Plenty of jokes keep you chuckling throughout, and his voice acting is a treat. 4/5

  2. Told with dry humour, this is an entertaining story of a naive young man who crosses paths with a clever thief. They join forces and seem to solve crimes in the style of Sherlock. Lots of funny scenes.

  3. This was hilarious, well-paced, and so utterly enjoyable. Chris Gibbs at his best.
