Alana and Kaibo is a story about a young girl who refuses to give in to fear and the notion of impossibility. She is trying to save her island while the rest of her family and friends are leaving.

This story is filled with life-sized puppets. Sergio, the great white shark, his shark friends, and many underwater sea creatures try to message the sinking island kids with heaps of plastic garbage and silly songs.

Suitable for all ages. Performers are kids and adults. Brought to you by the same creators of Little Red and The Werewolf (4 STARS – Winnipeg Free Press).

  1. The puppets and set were excellent! The show/story was a bit confusing and amateur, it is put on by a youth day camp. They put in a lot of effort and the kids are sweet but I wish we would have known better what to expect prior to going.

  2. this show is THE BEST kids fringe show i have ever seen. i saw it last night and my kids loved it! they loved the sharks and the little bird ,but all the roles did well.great show for kids ,would recommend.

  4. Saw this show today and it definitely a bit confusing at times, but the kids put in a lot of effort and the puppets were super cute. Grandpa Seagull was hilarious. The Q&A after was great and the kids clearly care a lot about climate change and really wanted to get that message across.

  5. I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty and depth of this show. The young performers delivered a captivating performance.

  6. The puppets are awesome! I enjoyed seeing young people up on stage delivering such strong performances.

  7. This is a fun show for people of all ages. The puppets are great and the young actors are too!

  8. This is a very interesting show about the affect of climate change on sea animals and people who rely on the ocean for survival. A play performed by talented children aimed at children, teens, and families.
