On the chatroom website CliqYou users can experience the highs and lows typical of all friend groups – the laughter, the grudges, the crushes, the rivalries, the inside jokes and the seemingly pointless conversations – while hiding the most vulnerable parts of themselves behind the safety and security of the screen. But friendships can be complicated, and friendships with people who live thousands of miles away can have unique complications of their own. Loaded with hilarious pop culture references and friendship dynamics you know and love, CliqYou is a play about seven lonely people who discover the incredible distances that trust, understanding and love can travel, as long as you choose to let them.
I loved this show so much!! Very clever and quick-witted, but also tackled more serious topics amidst the comedy. The intertwining relationships of all the characters was very well written and engaging!
As someone who doesn’t go to many plays this really blew me away! Incredible thoughtful deep and intense topics played out in a light hearted easy to digest format with and very relatable and modern setting. Lighting and music was on point and the cast did an incredible job capturing your attention the whole time and even from the very back I could hear everything so clearly! Very well done
So, so incredible! The whole cast did a wonderful job at representing what it can be like in an online friend group, especially when one of them is struggling and everyone else feels so far away.

Such a good show!! So honest, I felt like I was right there in it with the characters. When it ended, I couldn’t believe it was over! So naturally written and performed, go check it out!!
It is truly remarkable how much imagery and raw emotion can be evoked from 7 people and their desk chairs. The lighting and music were phenomenal, and the actors really knocked it out of the park. Laughing one moment, crying the next, this show captures the feeling of online friendship in its true, raw, messy, loving form. It means so much to me, as someone who has cultivated online friendships throughout their youth, to see this complicated relationship portrayed with such love and care.

CliqYou is amazing.
Ok, so not really a spoiler, since we all knew this show would be great. It’s like when you hear about one of those upcoming movies with an all-star cast. It has a clever writer, an amazing director, and is full of talented actors. You just know it’s gonna be good. And yet, many of those movies actually suck… But not this show. I expected this to be good, and I was still blown away. Here’s Hoping Theatre Co. presented us with an immersive story. It was funny, it was sad, and it was relatable.
I was full of anticipation to see CliqYou, and that feeling was greatly satiated, leaving me overstuffed in a good Christmas dinner way. Now I wait, hungry for more from the Here’s Hoping Theatre Company.
Wow! What an amazing show. It perfectly captured the essence of online friendships. Super engaging performers, along with the clever lighting and staging completely sucked me in to the group dynamic. Definitely a MUST SEE!
I really loved CliqYou! The characters felt real and I enjoyed the show start to finish.
Such a fun show. Really well written material that’s relatable even to older folk. Costumes could use a little more work, it felt a little unfinished in that regard. But overall the acting was just amazing, some serious talent up there.
Personally would’ve had the actors fully rotate their chairs around when not in a scene seeing them sit there was a little distracting as I kept anticipating them to jump up from their chair to join in. Otherwise still a very strong show and worth the watch.

Watching was like eavesdropping on a group chat, great contrast of personalities and quietly gutting at times, and packed with awesome performances by some of my absolute favorite people.
A very relatable show, funny characters with comedic personalities as well as some drama. The show has a perfect blend of comedy, romance, and drama. All the component’s needed to make the show fun to watch! Had an absolute blast!
I Loved CliqYou! The script was really well written it felt like a familiar old group chat, witty blabbering youth showing the highlights and complications of online communication and being a young person in this digital age. The actors were all incredible bringing life to their ‘texts’ showing their complexities.
Finally the music and lighting brought so much tension to the stage. I enjoyed the whole show! Laughing, feeling deeply for the characters. CliqYou is a AMAZING show of friendships, communication, and growing!
I really loved this play a lot! It is completely engaging from beginning to end. The actors present their characters with stunning emotion, vulnerability, humour, and wit, and deliver this well-written script with honesty, soul and heart. Awesome staging. I am glad I did not miss out on this production!
