  1. A staple of Fringe is the “beginner’s guide to a music genre” show, and this one certainly doesn’t disappoint. Framed around the performer Aida Cupcake’s journey of self-discovery in the opera world, this show takes the audience on a whirlwind tour of the various genres, characters, and technical eccentricities of this often-misunderstood genre (did you know that in Germany, voice types are known as “fach” or that “pant” roles are written for women in male drag?), presented with a generous dollop of outrageous drag camp. It’s a fun, uplifting, and educational little romp and well worth seeing.

  2. An incredible show! I enjoyed it from start to finish. Great storytelling. What a VOICE!!

  3. This was a really good show! I loved the mid show changes, they were really creative. The choice of music was also spectacular, with hits that everyone can recognize, popular arias anyone who’s familiar with opera will know, and a few of the performer’s personal favourites. If you’re here for the drag aspect, it also provides a lot of that- the costumes were wonderful and I was in love with a lot of them. If you are a fan of opera, drag, or music in general, I highly recommend.

  4. The venue we were going to attend was sold out. This show wasn’t even on our radar….however…it turned out to be the best damn show we’ve seen so far ! It was brilliant !! And got a very well deserved standing ovation… 100% recommend it.
