I Fucked Up and I’m Sorry is the story of Dr. Daniel Miyagi, a famous self-help guru who is obsessed with Cobra Kai and The Karate Kid, and who recently had to deal with a viral online video that appeared to show him losing his temper in a road-rage incident. This is both a comedy and a tragedy. It is also a political satire that deals with racism, cultural appropriation and obsessed fans who love their hero, no matter what he says or does. Come and take Dr. Daniel Miyagi’s anger management class, and see what it looks like when people have problems with anger management. You don’t have to like The Karate Kid and Cobra Kai to enjoy this play, but it will help. Audience participation is optional!
Just a meandering mess of nonsense with lights and people; if that’s theatre to you, you’ll love this one. I have never seen anything quite like this (in the worst way possible) and would have walked out if I was closer to the door. Not worth the time or money.
An appropriate title as it’s what the writer/director/star should say to the people who had to sit through this.
