4 STARS “A knockout … a compellingly strange, absorbing and terrifying work of startling originality.” – The Telegraph
Thomas is on a journey. Where did it begin? What voices does he hear? And what will they tell him to do?
“Tompkins has the guts of a bandit…” – The Slotkin Letter, Toronto
Amazing and powerful show! It is incredibly compelling and draws you in from beginning to end. Contrary to a previous review, although it is clear that the character struggles with mental illness, it is equally as clear that the actor and director did their due diligence. The care and intent put into the characterization and story was evident. Not once did I feel as though this was perpetuating any stereotypes but was an incredibly thoughtful critique of social isolation and the romanticism of religion. 10/10 would absolutely recommend everyone go watch!
Good show! Amazing actor! But this show perpetuates a stereotype that is not true: that individuals with psychotic disorders are violent. Most are not. Please educate yourselves
A powerful plea for us to listen.

Agree with all the previous reviews…will only add/reiterate that Daniel is truly terrific…his interpretation of this Enda Walsh character (and kudus to the producer and tech/staging – coat hanger wings, brilliant) is equal parts engaging and harrowing…if you are a young actor and are wondering if you can pull off a one-man, multi-character play, then go see Daniel in Misterman to see how it is done.
Daniel Tompkins gives a raw and emotional performance in one-man show Misterman, bringing the chaotic mind of the pious Innisfree Irishman Thomas Magill to life. The set reminiscent of an escape room, fitting the cramped and confined life of the greiving misfit, as he rehashes and rehearses his descent into madness.
A fantastic show; compelling and dark, Tompkins keeps audiences absorbed.
This was brilliant and thought-provoking. A fringe must-see!!!
Do yourself a favour, and go and see this amazing show. Daniel is an absolute force to be reckoned with on the stage. Go see the show, and then you’ll be able to say “I saw him when…..” when he’s a famous actor.
A++++. I don’t ordinarily leave reviews but this was an extraordinary show. Chilling and intense portrayal of a man losing his grip on reality
