Seasons of Love is a powerful dance and movement production inspired by Max Richter ‘s recomposition of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Love, like the changing seasons, is beautiful, fleeting and ever-evolving. From the warmth of newfound passion to the cold solitude of heartbreak, this performance captures love in all its forms. Its tenderness, its fire and its inevitable loss. Pain is the price we pay for love, and yet, time and time again, we surrender to its embrace. Seasons of Love is a journey through the highs and lows of the heart, a reminder that even in loves darkest winter, spring will come again.
The Enigma Performance Company’s presentation of Seasons of Love is an absolute triumph! The music is Max Richter’s re-imagining of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”. The dancing was a breathtakingly beautiful and innovative interpretation of the classic Baroque piece. Richter’s composition, which reworks Vivaldi’s iconic violin concertos using fragments of the original music, provided the perfect backdrop for the dancers to explore the emotional depths of the music. The dancers’ movements were fluid and expressive, weaving in and out of intricate patterns and formations that seemed to dance across the stage. The choreography was cleverly crafted to highlight the contrasts between the lush, Baroque melodies, and the modern, electronic elements that Richter introduced into the score. One of the standout aspects of the performance was the way the dancers seemed to embody the music, their movements becoming an extension of the notes and rhythms that filled the air. The lighting design was also noteworthy, using subtle shifts in colour and intensity to enhance the mood and atmosphere of each scene. I have to admit, I was not prepared for the impact this show would have on me. By the end of the 45 minute presentation, I was an emotional wreck. It was profoundly moving (physically for the dancers, emotionally for the audience). We need more beauty like this, so thank you for freeing my soul from a world that has much ugliness, even if for a brief time. Thank you for this blessing. Your Director and Choreographer are brilliant! This was a stunning example of how dance and music can come together to create something truly innovative and beautiful. An absolute must-see! My rating is 5/5 stars.
I love it when there is dance at the Fringe! Kudos to this group of dancers, hope to see you back again! I especially enjoyed how those long pieces of fabric were incorporated. Well done! Go see this show!
I was so very impressed with this memorable performance. The 10 young dancers were so well chosen, so well rehersed and so well prepared, with confidence and stage presence; that I thought I was actually really viewing a professional company on stage. The visual effects, the costumes and the audio; all came together for a gallant presentation. Congradulations to all 10. I thought you were great!
I thought the storytelling was beautifully crafted and the dancing was so well done! Some of my favourite moments were: summer, winter and the large group piece with fabric. Such a refreshing show!

This show was so completely captivating and fluid, I relaxed into it 100% and was swept away by its ineffable beauty!! I floated out of the theatre, feeling so incredibly peaceful, grounded and inspired. It was a meditational experience. Well-done!!

There is not enough opportunity to showcase our dancers in my opinion so I am so glad that this show was part of the Fringe. The choreography was wonderful and the dancing was elegant. I particularly liked the section with the long pieces of fabric.
We just loved this! Beautiful music and beautifully danced. While very few movements seemed awkward, the whole of the show was moving and you get lost in the dancing.
