cancer wife?

  • sherri elle theatre projects

New boyfriend, new city, new life! The future’s so bright…

But when he’s suddenly a patient on the notorious 5GREEN, it’s life and death. But not your life or your death… How do you make sense of that?

Cancer Wife looks past the obvious story, past the patient, outside the spotlight, where you start to feel like a secondary character in your own life. But you still have to show up for him, because you’re in the middle of the biggest battle you never imagined.

Written and performed by sherri elle, with special thanks to TJ Dawe and Megan Phillips.

  1. Was an amazing show. Sherri takes you on what feels like a very real experience and the struggles that go with it. The jokes were well placed

  2. Loved the story, close to the hearts of many. Great opening; I loved your voice. Don’t let the idea of a 4th floor venue in an old building deter you from seeing this play; it has an elevator. A hidden gem. I would recommend this play to everyone.

  3. It was very well done. I highly recommend it. The topic is very close to many people’s lives and She has done a fantastic job to touch your heart and still manage to make you laugh. 😂

  4. We saw this last night – great show and fabulous performance. It was touching and raw with sprinkles of humour throughout. Loved it – highly recommend.

  5. Saw this show on a whim cause it fit and empty slot and glad I did… The performer tells her story well and makes it worth the climb.

  6. It’s clear Sherri is new to public speaking and storytelling, and her singing is far from professional, but the writing is honest and true from the heart. A good watch if yourself or someone you know is going through something similar

  7. It was very funny and very touching. Sherri has an amazing sense of timing. I recommend it.
