“Callback King could be a new moniker.” – Winnipeg Free Press

“Part Rik Mayall, Eric Idle and Eddie Izzard, bellowing British comedy-actor Jimmy Hogg whips around the stage like an excitable Labrador puppy. Hysterically tangential.” – NOW Toronto

“He’s got a wickedly rapid, sometimes bitterly sharp, delivery.” – CBC

“Telling really funny stories is what Hogg does best. If you want to know how to take ordinary life and turn it into theater, this guy is a master. – Orlando Sentinel

  1. Great fun! With a true “gift of gab”, Jimmy weaves hilarious tall tales (all true, of course!) together through a seemingly endless series of segues. Were we intended to feel uncomfortable with some of the material? Yes! Did Jimmy lean into this by directly engaging with the audience? Also yes! A fantastic and hyper-fueled fifty-five minutes with a “brave” and “courageous” performer (even if he was a bit of a Johnny Two-Sheds)!! Loved it 🙌

  2. My least favourite show of Fringe so far. I have my own potty mouth at times (hockey playoffs lol), but the use of the “c word” was off-putting for me. I found it hard to appreciate the rest of the show after that.

In addition, hubby says he found the show rambling.

Meh, I would have skipped it. Two stars.

  3. The brave and courageous king of the rabbit trail, this is a hilarious mix of stand-up comedy and story-telling. As a fan of a number of comedians from the UK, there was one bit in particular that I found a lot funnier than those audience members unfamiliar with certain vernacular, but as long as swearing doesn’t put you off too much, this definitely isn’t a show to miss – but get your tickets in advance (if there are even any left). My only complaint: I don’t understand where the title came from.

  4. Brilliant, courageous, such a brave performance done by a valiant, humble, brave person.

Jimmy Hogg is a c*nt in the best way. Give him a watch.

  5. Brave and couragous show and not needing praise for anything he has accomplished in his life.
    Don’t need it, don’t need it, I dont. 🤣🥰

    So much energy.

  6. Like watching Gerard Butler from 300 on roids (kept telling my wife you’d say We Are Sparta 🤔🤣🤣). OUTSTANDING!!! Your Nan would be proud. 5/5

  7. Speaking as a Chad, I’ve actually seen this show TWELVE times, with one of them boing a private performance on my Gulfstream. I’d see it a thirteenth time.

  8. Speaking as a Brad, I can say there is no better show to be seen at Fringe. I’ve seen it 10 times, once from my sports cars 😉 Appreciated Chekhov’s c*#t!
