A new full-length absurdist clown dance from crowd favourite Money Fish characters!
Money Fish are a zany, acrobatic trio of fish-like synchronized swimmers. Following many years of swimming through audiences as roaming characters and their (un)successful cabaret dance, Money Fish have now been thrust on land and on stage to try and figure out what to do with all these balls.
Set to an array of the most recognizable classical music, the Money Fish parody and pay tribute to ballet, opera, contemporary dance, acrobatics, silent film and anything else that might take itself too seriously.
After a Fringe full of shows that are, or try to be, tragic or dramatic or heart-wrenching, this show was a breath of fresh air (or water). Despite, or perhaps because of, its simplicity, I enjoyed it so much more than most of those other shows.
A terrific physical, semi-abstract 30-ish minute performance focusing on fun and play. Kids will love it, but it definitely doesn’t just appeal to the young ones; this was a highlight of the festival for me.
Very talented performers and the show kept my kids captivated by the acrobatics and movement. The grown ups were impressed too!
7yo: it was good!
11yo: it was very impressive! They are very agile!
45yo: I LOVE non-verbal performances! To be so captivating for so many ages without saying a word?? 🥰🥰
Would love to see more from them!
