The Get Laid* Show (*Or a date? Definitely a high five.)

  • TheOtherVName Productions

I cannot legally guarantee anyone will be getting laid at the Duke of Kent Legion… hence the asterisk.

Singles… learn what works to get you laid!

Couples… learn the important questions to ask each other, to continue laying each other!

If you can handle hand raises and high fives… you can handle the interactivity of this show.

A solo comedy to mingle at that can get you Laid*. (*Or a date? Definitely a high five.)

  1. This show is the definition of a fringe show. V brought such a fun and joyful energy to the show and was mesmerizing from start to finish. I got to go on a two minute date and keep the evidence. Plenty of high fives, and getting laid did happen!

  2. I tell everyone that this show is the epitome of what it means to fringe. This sort of piece wouldn’t be seen anywhere else and that is exactly what makes it a gem, and in my opinion as somebody who has gone both years (and not gotten laid, but definitely some high fives) is a must-see.

V’s goofy vulnerability would make even the most shy person feel confident to participate, and by the end of the show I have felt connected to everyone in the room in a small way, through sharing such a unique and earnest experience.

  3. V’s energy is infectious and made the whole room feel comfortably intimate. Great concept and a great time. Half the room was unfortunately couples not looking to get laid, at the get laid show. Make some room for the singles!

  4. A hilarious one person show that requires honesty, vulnerability, risk and participation aka interaction* between you and others at the show. *introverts beware lol.

If you are willing to put in the work to their 4 “do’s”, you just might get laid and/or a date. Last year my now boyfriend and I went and because of one 2 minute date, we have started dating.
This year we went back and were reminded about the 4 do’s and despite some repetition from last year, still had fun as no 2 shows are exactly alike… pretty sure we are going to make this an annual thing.

  5. Going to this show was like reading a book or watching a movie where all you want to do is talk to someone about how good it was. Much like reading a good book or watching a good movie, this show made me think a lot about topics that are important to me. I’m glad I was able to attend with my friend so we can now talk about it together.

Should you choose to attend, please keep an open mind. Be willing to potentially confront some tough stuff. But you’ll be better for it!
