This show was wonderfully executed. While heavy, the writing does not over explain its premise, allowing the audience to follow the performers’ very authentic journey. The set design was also very good, practically kitchen sink realism that makes full use of the space. Even though it evokes some unpleasant feelings (again, all actors draw you into their world so wonderfully), I highly recommend this show for people to experience the catharsis.
I was extremely moved by this play! It was very well written and very well cast. This play deals with a very difficult topic, but the cast told the story beautifully. Cheers to the cast for the intensity of their emotions. All very strong actors, Lydia (Katerina Dawson) brought me to tears. This play is a must see!
I saw the june 22nd performance of this show and was touched by the storyline. Though it wasn’t as emotional to me as some of the other reviews led me to believe I enjoyed the story that was presented.
It deals with a heavy and sensitive topic very well, i say that as someone who in the past dealt with similar inclinations and managed to recover. It really highlights the after and carrying someone with you.
There are some really great and creative special sequences that I thought were very well done. Everyone was very well cast and had excellent performances, I especially liked Alans and Audrey’s emotional presentation.
My only complaint would be because of the size of the set and the seating area there were some sight line issues but sitting in the middle or further back in the side deats would rectify that.
Good job everyone you did very well and I look forward to seeing more from everyone in the future.

Great script and very well performed by the cast. Unfortunately a reality that too many parents have to face. I cannot possibly imagine myself going through a situation like this one and not somehow feeling guilty about it. Very moving play. Congratulations.
Oh my goodness, bring tissues! This play deals with difficult subject matter. The cast all gave excellent performances. To the Free Press critic: of course we leave feeling that some things are left unresolved. Suicide doesn’t lead to happy endings. 5 stars.
An impactful story, tremendous performances from all the cast, and some truly haunting moments. I’d find it hard to imagine anybody not being moved by this production.
“Unresolved” deals with heavy subject matter with tremendous sensitivity. The performances are moving and honest, and the script is top-notch. I fail to understand the Free Press review; perhaps a course in sensitivity training would be in order for this particular critic…or perhaps a heart transplant. For anybody who has ever struggled with the heartache that loss of a loved one brings, this play is highly recommended. Bring tissues…you’ll need them.
The play deals with a difficult story line, but it is well written and the cast a crew took us on the journey of trying to live through the worst tragedy a parent could imagine, but the twist in the end is that it is the aunt that can’t let go
I, for one, saw the review by the Free Press today and I have to say it is a bit astounding to me that he gave a two star rating because he felt the audience would walk away with a feeling of things being unresolved-his parting quote was “Unresolved” is right”. Did he not get a hint when he was writing that quote that maybe we were supposed to walk away feeling like it was unresolved. Hence the title. At least that was my impression of what it was supposed to seem like. I think it was an incredible emotional journey that this show puts you through, and I think the cast, and the playwright are to be largely applauded for doing such a fine job conveying that to the audience. Bravo!
Unresolved is another outstanding production by Cactus Theatre Co. The subject is deep and difficult and is very well handled. Kudos to the actors for their emotional intensity and character complexity. You really must make a point of checking Unresolved out.
A beautifully staged play whose honest portrayal of grief left me in tears by the end. The chemistry between the cast made every relationship feel natural and heartfelt, while the crew’s attention to detail was evident throughout, with perfectly timed lighting and sound cues alongside seamless transitions. A must-see show for anyone attending the Fringe this year.
Unresolved deals with a heavy theme but done beautifully. A great script and performed wonderfully. The whole cast and crew did an amazing job.
I highly recommend this play to be a part of your Fringe experience.
