Jimmy Hogg
After SOLD-OUT runs in 2024 & 2025, The Potato King returns with a NEW SHOW.
“Hogg is a raconteur of the finest order – think an amped-up John Oliver. His vignettes are so rich with detail, you can practically smell them.” -Winnipeg Free Press
5 STARS, CRITIC’S PICK “Expertly written and performed, thanks to Hogg’s rambunctious and heartfelt delivery.” – Toronto Star
5 STARS “Hogg is a fantastically engaging performer, sort of like if Ricky Gervais had more energy.” – Edmonton Journal
5 STARS “Part Rik Mayall, Eric Idle, Eddie Izzard – British comedy-actor Jimmy Hogg whips around the stage like an excitable Labrador puppy. Hysterically tangential.” – NOW Toronto
5 STARS “He’s got a wickedly rapid, sometimes bitterly sharp, delivery.” – CBC
Attended the Wed, July 22nd show. Loved it! Laughed the whole time (I think that counts as an abs workout). Jimmy is a great story teller, and a master of weaving audience reactions into the story. We chatted with him after the show about Winnipeg slugs… I’d say more, but there isn’t time 😉
No wait! I changed my mind. (Brisket still stands). This show was like a crispy deep fried cauliflower. The one that they serve at this one restaurant in California.
Twas like a juicy brisket with a crisp slice of hot bread on the side
Went and saw Jim Gaffigan at Outdoors Comedy Festival the same day and Jimmy was way funnier. I was part of the show that had the phone call interruption and Jimmy made this into the show easily.
This is my second Jimmy’s show (saw him in 2025 as well) and I liked this one better.
Brilliantly told story with an expected Jimmy Hogg flare, especially after a patron’s phone began to ring.
Great storyteller who was able to riff off interruptions from the audience. Such a fun show! So glad we went to see him for the first time.
Fantastic time. Amazing comedic timing and storytelling. 5 stars!
He is so cool. Great laughs from a master storyteller.
