1. Incredibly powerful show. Mix with humour, humanity, and a thought provoking message.

   My wife and I talked for hours afterwards about the topics in the show. Super relatable.

   They even make syphilis sound so damn sexy!

2. Very enjoyable performances from a very fun cast!
   I thought it did a good job at showing precisely how complex the gender and sexual orientation spectrum can be, be it for queer or heteronormative people. It doesn’t need to come to a split conclusion, and that’s the whole point.
   Dan’s journey was presented in a fun way with a good balance of humor and heart.

   Some jokes could be reworked a little to give the overall script more fluidity and rhythm, but I really enjoyed the show, its cast, and the message it conveyed.

3. I only went because my niece was in it and left completely overwhelmed with emotions about the realities of these characters and their growth. Amazing writing and performing! Strongly recommend for all

4. The free press completely misunderstood this play. To imply that this play is only enjoyable to queer people not only inadvertently implies that straight people can’t appreciate and enjoy queer theatre but that straight people can’t enjoy theatre at all considering the fact that it’s an artform which is directly intertwined with queer culture, something that this show expertly demonstrated. I thoroughly enjoyed this show and it made me laugh at loud while also inviting me to thoughtfully consider and reflect on questions surrounding gender, sexuality, and identity. Never thought I would get to say that my favourite character in a fringe show was Batman, but I’m so glad that this is the show that allowed me to write that in a review.

5. This is a great show with an excellent balance of humour and heart! The perfomers brought lots of energy to the stage and it was a blast to watch!

6. so so funny!! completely goofy, with the struggle of gender identity and how that affects sexuality at the core. for a show with a character named syphilis, there was a lot of nuance.
   abandon all hope, ye who enter queer!

7. I’m a 59 year old straight woman and I loved it! It was funny, thought provoking, interesting, at times poignant and the whole cast brought tremendous energy to the performance. Highly recommended!!!

8. Well done by an enthusiastic and talented cast. The WFP review was clearly written by someone who wasn’t bothering to understand the content at all. It was funny, well staged, and well performed. The content may not resonate as deeply with every audience member, but I don’t think there can be any denying that it was well done. A solid 3 1/2 at least.

9. Incredible, I loved the court scene and how nuanced the conversation was about being straight vs. heterosexual was. As a straight aroace person, I felt really seen, as sometimes it does feel like people are trying to put me in boxes and don’t understand romantic and sexual attraction and orientation differing. I like men, wouldn’t have sex with them, but I do want to date them. No one can label you except yourself! You are queer if you say you are, and straight if you say you are: there are no rules here. My only gripe is that I wish there was More Bee, their story was very mysterious and seemed like a missed opportunity. I understand if it’s the point; but they felt more like a prop for Dan.

10. I read the free press review and thought it sounded like it was just written by an old straight white man who doesn’t know how to have fun. I was right! This play was a riot, I laughed so hard and was engaged through every scene. Loved how it was so funny but surprisingly deep. Everyone on this cast should feel immensely proud.

11. Pros: VERY ENJOYABLE !! me and my friends were laughing almost constantly, it was very funny. the concept was very creative and the acting was varied, but overall good !! I genuinely enjoyed this show, and recommend it !!!

    Cons: unfortunately, the show suffered from directionless writing, seemingly getting stuck in its own circles of hell and purgatory on its way to saying something. As a younger asexual person, the conversation and understanding of asexuality and how that intersects with both heterosexuality and queerness felt very reductive and simplified, as if pulled from tumblr’s understanding of asexuality a decade prior (see: no acknowledgment of the split-attraction model which has been widely accepted by the asexual community for ages, the black and white definitions of the trial scene). The dialogue itself was at times clunky and seemingly pointless, with characters repeatedly hammering a point home. (See: “fuck if I know”, which, while apparently the thesis of the show, got tiresome after the sixth time). Actors struggled with looking each other in the eyes, and seemed aware they were onstage beyond the required fourth wall breaking, almost self conscious.

    TLDR: a genuinely very enjoyable and funny show that tries to say something and ultimately doesn’t quite succeed. Could have done with tighter writing and plotting, but was on point with its humour.

12. A bit “woke”, I understand why the Press didn’t understand it. I loved it though, the Incels were very funny, and Syphilus!!
