Another Side of Rice

Nicholas Rice

Another Side of Rice, the sequel to my successful Side of Rice, is made of three life-affirming and, I hope, humanity-affirming stories.
I’m 74 years old now, and I’m still on my lifelong and sometimes difficult quest to become a gentleman – not just any old man, but a gentle one, too.
Some of my show is Winnipeg-based. Listeners will find themselves revisiting the kids’ section of the Cornish Library (1958) or the field outside Sir John Franklin School and the Sporting Goods section of Eaton’s (1963).
The stories are often funny, sometimes sad, always totally true.
Dedicated, with love, to the memory of my cousin Tommy Churchill and my dad Joe Rice.
