Alexandra Elliott Dance

Who cared for you through food, and what did they make for you? My dad. For 42 years until he had a stroke and the roles reversed. This performance embodies the universal themes of family, food, memories and connection. 
Commensality is the social practice of sharing meals. I was commissioned by Buhler Gallery to create a dance inside the St. Boniface Hospital kitchen. The work travelled to the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity where my dance company satiated their exhausted creative minds on the buffet. Cluster New Music + Integrated Arts Festival premièred this work. Dance, theatre and music lovers will crave this immersive experience.
