With wolves, witches and goblins, the story unfolds as the audience are invited to become part of the drama. The Brothers Grimm collected their classic tales over 200 years ago. Today, award-winning interactive storyteller Eden has reimagined them for a contemporary audience.

This show was pure joy and hilarity from start to finish! Eden delighted all ages of our family with his masterful storytelling. He selected young members of his audience to be his cast members, whom he guided beautifully. We loved it so much, I and my 11 year old daughter saw it twice, with more family members the second time who we knew had to experience the magic. Absolutely my favourite Fringe show this year, for adults or children! Of particular note is how patient and engaging Eden is with very small children who do not understand theater etiquette and wander…he doesn’t miss a beat, and just makes them a part of the story. Wonderfully engaging, and I hope I get to see Stories Alive again!
This show was really fun – the main performer was obviously a very skilled storyteller. His cast mates (children drawn from the audience) were adorable. I did note that it was hard to hear a few of the children, so you may want to sit closer to the front!
I was a bit surprised by some of the depictions of violence within the stories, so just a warning for anyone who might be particularly sensitive to that. (It was not explicit or gory… just a bit more violent than I had expected.)
Brought my 11 year old niece to the Grimm’s Fairer Tales and she loved it! Got to be involved in the show and said it was one of the best experiences she’s had!
Went with a group of kiddos age 2-teens they all loved the show one of the 8 years old said “it was like going to 3 plays it was so cool”
With the involvement from the audience the kids excitement at seeing their friends “act” was mindblowing for them!
Today we passed by the storyteller and one of my boys pointed out “he’s the guy that made me hansel”
