Now, Don’t Get Upset

Hunter Dance Project

Another voicemail. Have you called your mom back? She probably wants to see photos of her grandpets and discuss local politics or movies. Maybe she won’t talk about religion.

Now, Don’t Get Upset is a solo dance monologue about a mother-daughter relationship that sifts through all the layers, hurdles, lessons, baggage, humour, grief and love within.

From the growing pains in childhood to reversing roles in caretaking, this show takes a humorous yet heartfelt stroll down one particular memory lane. Audience members will be invited to respond and engage in post-show activities.
